At EZ Capital, we recognize the pressing environmental issues our country and planet face, particularly concerning pollution and climate change. To contribute to a healthier and greener world, we undertake various initiatives at our office level, including the use of energy-efficient equipment and appliances, shared CNG shuttle buses for staff commuting, and investments in technologies like solar panels.
Understanding that our efforts alone may not suffice, our team conceived the idea of ‘VrikshaRopan’ or ‘Tree Plantation’. This initiative received enthusiastic approval from our CEO, Mr. Rajesh Katoch, and other team members prompted us to start the activity without delay.
For this green activity, we selected our Jalandhar branch, where we began our journey of empowering lives through our loan products and bringing positive changes to the lives of loan beneficiaries and their loved ones. We purchased Neem, Banyan, Peepal, and other saplings from the local nursery for this endeavor.
In a collaborative effort on July 28th, 2023, our team transformed into a green brigade! Divided into 10 groups, each team planted at least 4 saplings, resulting in over 40 new future trees. Some saplings were planted within our office premises, while others were placed in nearby locations.
Beyond simply planting trees, our aim was also to raise awareness about the importance of trees, combating pollution, and fostering a greener Earth within the local community. After planting these saplings, we continue to nurture them. Our support staff and gardeners monitor their health three times a week, providing water and applying manure as needed.
Today, as these trees grow, we take pride in the positive impact we’ve made, knowing that each tree planted contributes to a healthier environment and a brighter future for all.
